Do You
Like A Challenge?
A
vacancy has arisen for a Health & Fire Safety Advisor operating across the
Trust (although primarily based at Scunthorpe Hospital). Reporting to the Health
& Safety Manager you will act as a central advisor in relation to fire safety as
well as keeping current fire risk assessments upto date. You will also play a
key role in the co-ordination and delivery of fire training at various levels.
In addition you will assist the Health & Safety Manager in the delivery of the
health & safety work programme for the Trust to enable it to meet its statutory
obligations.
This is a developing & challenging role but one in which you will
take a key position within the fire safety area. You will therefore need to
have a fire safety background (ideally with experience in a healthcare
environment) of at least five years as well as relevant qualifications and
professional membership (e.g. IFE etc.). It would also be beneficial for general
health & safety experience (including possible membership of IOSH ) to enable
you to further develop the general health & safety role. You will also need to
have good communication skills and interpersonal skills to be able to deal with
all staff Groups (from board level to shopfloor level).
Whilst this is a demanding role it offers a unique opportunity to
allow you to shape the direction of the organisation and its safety management
system as well as further developing your skills.
